# Credits

# Credits

Credits are the unit of usage inside Skill3D. **1 credit = $0.04** at the starter pack rate (**25 credits per $1**). Top up with USDC packs or a custom amount.

## What spends credits

| Activity | How it’s billed |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Voice coaching** | Per model tokens reported by the live session (\~**2,300 tokens per credit**, calibrated to \~5× upstream cost) |
| **Visualization** | Fixed **5 credits** per successful image |
| **Text chat** | Per tokens used by the chat / agent path (minimum applies per turn) |

Idle connection and silence are designed not to drain the same way active conversation does. Heavy camera + talk sessions use more tokens than short audio-only turns.

## Welcome grant

New accounts receive a small welcome balance (currently **40 credits**) so you can try a real session before buying.

## Packs (reference)

| Pack | Credits | Price (USDC) |
| ------- | ------- | ------------ |
| Starter | 300 | \$12 |
| Growth | 1,000 | \$30 |
| Pro | 2,400 | \$60 |

Custom top-ups are also available from a minimum amount — see [Top up](/billing/top-up).

## Low balance

If your balance is too low to start or continue voice coaching, the app will prompt you to top up. Visualization returns a clear out-of-credits error if you cannot afford a render.

## Fair use

Credits track real compute. Short, focused sessions stretch further than long open-mic sessions with continuous video.
