# Tap to ask

> Point at something in the live view and ask the coach about it.

# Tap to ask

Tap-to-ask turns your finger into a pointer for the coach.

## How to use it

1. Start a live coaching session with the camera on.
2. Tap an object or area in the live video.
3. You’ll see a short **Analyzing…** cue at the tap point.
4. The coach highlights what it thinks you meant and answers by voice.

## When to use it

* “What is this fitting?”
* “Is this the right screw?”
* “Look at this crack — is it a problem?”

Faster than describing coordinates out loud when your hands are dirty.

## Tips

* Tap the **center** of the object you care about.
* If the highlight is wrong, say so: “No, the pipe behind it.”
* Combine with speech: tap, then say “is this level?”

## Privacy

Taps are converted to frame coordinates for the current camera view. They are part of the live coaching session, not a separate public feed. See [Camera & privacy](/safety/camera-and-privacy).
